Another letter came yesterday. David still seems all right, all things considered. At least, he did a week ago when he wrote it. This kind of arrangement makes one appreciate just how precious each shred of communication can be.
So far there aren't any major adjustments being made to our long-term plans, but as we all know, that could change at a moment's notice. The best things in life certainly don't come easily.
